MEDIATION Project (Migration, Expatriation and Dignity in Repatriation)
Introduction:
People migrate or expatriate in search for a secure and better life due to economic situation or political instability but both go hand by hand and can be difficult to distinguish between them. EAC support human rights and work proactively to prevent human rights violations such as human trafficking by empowering people to make informed-decision. MEDIATION Project focuses on the following topics:
- Fighting human trafficking,
- Expatriation and migration,
- Refugees,
- Repatriation/Voluntary return
Aims of the Project:
- To provide information about immigration policies of the attracting countries.
- To help individuals who think or intend to migrate, expatriate or repatriate to make an informed-decision.
- To provide the immediate needs such as accommodation, food and hygiene bags for the victims of human trafficking
- To provide counselling for victims of trafficking, immigrants, expatriate and voluntary returning individuals
- To facilitate returning of human trafficking’s victims to their home land
- To facilitate workshops and training courses for newly or potential legal immigrants, expatriate and voluntary returning people to enable them find suitable jobs and work and live with dignity.
- To reduce level of stress due to home loss and enhancing individuals well-being to cope in the new home.
